Article summary

Workstations configured for Kiosk Mode are almost always shared workstations. A generic Windows account is shared by all users, with users logging in and out of individual XA Client sessions without logging in and out of Windows.

Users may operate at these workstations for as little as five minutes, or sometimes as long as an hour (there is no hard time limit they may be in use). Workstations configured for Kiosk Mode are not usually reserved for a single person, and can be located anywhere that is convenient for users to work.

Kiosk Mode is the typical front end used with Roaming or VDI workflow environments.

There are three different Kiosk Mode Configurations:

  1. Kiosk Mode - Full SSO
  2. Kiosk Mode - Passthrough
  3. Remote Kiosk Mode (RKM)
