Article summary

Important

Before starting to deploy the QwickAccess for IGEL app, please ensure your organization's environment meets the minimum requirements for the QwickAccess for IGEL solution.

To deploy the QwickAccess for IGEL app to your IGEL endpoints you’ll need the QwickAccess for IGEL deployment package. This package will be a zip file named qax-igel-1.3.0.zip. Within the zip file, you’ll find four other files which are explained below.

qax-igel-1.3.0-profile.xml

This file is an IGEL profile file which contains the instructions to deploy the QwickAccess for IGEL Custom Partition (CP) to IGEL endpoints. You will need to add this file to your IGEL UMS, configure the settings in this profile for your environment, and apply the profile to your target IGEL endpoints.

qax-igel-1.3.0.inf

This file contains information about the QwickAccess for IGEL CP. You will need to add this file to your IGEL UMS, but you don’t need to make any changes to this file.

qax-igel-1.3.0.tar.bz2

This file contains the QwickAccess for IGEL CP that will be deployed to your IGEL endpoints. You will need to add this file to your IGEL UMS, but you don’t need to make any changes to this file.

citrix-sample-profile.xml

Since QwickAccess for IGEL does not configure a Citrix connection from your IGEL endpoints to your Citrix VDI servers, you will need to configure this connection. This file provides a sample profile to configure the required Citrix connection. However, this file is optional if you already have a working Citrix connection configured on your IGEL endpoints. But we recommend at least looking at the settings in this file to see if there may need to be changes to your current connection. If you choose to use this file, you will need to add this file to your IGEL UMS, configure the settings in this profile for your environment, and apply the profile to your target IGEL endpoints.

After confirming that you have the files listed above, you are ready to move to the next step, Step 2: Remove a Previous Version.
