Upgrading from Prior Versions

The following steps are for upgrading the EPCS authentication plugin from version 2.x to 3.x.

  1. If using EpicAuth ProxCard for primary authentication, install and configure EpicAuth v4.1.0 or greater on the machines where Hyperdrive is installed (either on Citrix servers or on endpoints where Hyperdrive is installed locally).
  2. Export the HealthCast registry keys.
  3. Install EPCS v3.x.
  4. Create the SAML Cert based on post-installation instructions: HealthCast EPCS Install on Citrix.
  5. Install the SAML Cert on endpoints: HealthCast EPCS SAML certificate conversion and deployment.
  6. Register the SAML Cert via Epic E0G record, and install the public cert on the Epic servers. Your Epic TS will have additional guidance if needed.
  7. Import the HealthCast registry keys that were exported in Step 2 (see same article for the importing process).
