# System and Software Requirements

The following is a list of all target platforms for HC ProxAuth Server. Please contact your HealthCast Project Manager to determine the optimal configuration(s) for your organization.

## Operating Systems

- Microsoft Windows® 2022 Server 64-bit
- Microsoft Windows® 2019 Server 64-bit
- Microsoft Windows® 2016 Server 64-bit

## Required Minimum Server Specifications

- Quad-core, 2GHz or better processor
- 8 GB RAM
- 2 Ethernet network interface cards

## Virtual Machines

- VMware vSphere / ESXi 8.x
- VMware vSphere / ESXi 7.x
- Microsoft Windows® 2022 Hyper-V
- Microsoft Windows® 2019 Hyper-V

## Directory Services

- Active Directory® 2022
- Active Directory® 2019
- Active Directory® 2016
- Active Directory® 2012

## Databases

A full installation of SQL Server is required.

- Microsoft® SQL Server 2022 x64 – PREFERRED
  - Any edition—Enterprise, Standard—is supported.
- Microsoft® SQL Server 2019 x64 – PREFERRED
  - Any edition—Enterprise, Standard—is supported.
- Microsoft® SQL Server 2017 x64
  - Any edition—Enterprise, Standard—is supported.
- Microsoft® SQL Server 2016 x64 SP1
  - Any edition—Enterprise, Business Intelligence, Standard—is supported.

⚠️ High Availability

When configuring for high availability clusters, only the Enterprise editions support multiple machines. Ensure that you have the proper version for the desired configuration for redundancy.
