Remote Deployment Steps
Pre-Installation Check and Steps
- Ensure that the correct server software has been properly installed in your environment.
- Verify that the target system meets the QwickACCESS system requirements
- QwickACCESS requires the 32-bit edition of Java even when installing on a 64-bit computer.
- Plug a supported proximity card reader into an available USB port on the client computer.
- On thin-client devices, enable changes before the installation and then commit those changes appropriately before rebooting.
Begin with an Interactive Install to Create QwickACCESS Settings
- Install QwickACCESS using the Interactive Installation instructions on one local workstation in your environment.
- Use the Client Configuration Tool to configure QwickACCESS for your work environment.
- Copy the qa.ini file created by the Client Configuration Tool. This file is located in the following folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\HealthCast\QwickACCESS\qa.ini
Remote Deployment Steps
- Locate the QwickACCESS-Client-Setup.exe file and install it, along with the qa.ini file (copied in step 3 above), using your desired remote deployment software. Note: qa.ini file must be deployed to the following folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\HealthCast\QwickACCESS\qa.ini
- Further configuration changes my be made by running the Client Configuration Tool, navigating to the location of qa.ini in the directory, and pushing-out the newest qa.ini file to your client workstations.
