Release Notes
Overview
Despite the 4.0.0.11 version number, this is a brand new/first release of the Authentication Plugin for Epic Hyperdrive. This version number was chosen to differentiate this release from previous releases that only support Epic Hyperspace.
Known Issues
Secondary authentication doesn't work if the user's XA rolling password save time has expired. Workaround: The user needs to tap their badge to sign into XA to restart their password save time prior to using secondary authentication.
The following functionality is not supported by this release.
- Re-authentication with push notifications or OTP
- Re-authentication with biometric
- E-Prescribing Controlled Substances (EPCS) will not be supported in this release but will be supported in a separate release of a different plugin, our EPCS plugin for Epic. (See FAQ #10)
- Patient identification remains unsupported
- Slingshot launching Hyperdrive but the login device is running locally
- Integrated narrator workflow not supported in this release, but will be supported in a subsequent release
Rolling Password - Save Time
- Secondary authentication doesn't work if the user's XA rolling password save time is expired.
Workaround
- The user needs to tap their badge to sign into XA to restart their password save time prior to using secondary authentication.
Additional Functionality
- Epic Auth v4.1.0 can now be used in conjunction with EPCS v3.0 to provide E-Prescribing authentication with biometrics, push notifications, and OTP (One Time Password).
- E-Prescribing Controlled Substances (EPCS) v3.0 is a separate installation and requires additional configuration and device enrollment.
Unsupported Functionality
- Patient identification remains unsupported
- Slingshot launching Hyperdrive when the login device is running locally
