Interactive Install/Uninstall
IMPORTANT
If you are installing on a Windows 8/8.1 or 10 system, then you must either turn off the lock screen or turn on Ctrl-Alt-Delete.
Pre-Installation Checks and Steps:
- Ensure that QwickACCESS Server has been properly installed in your environment.
- Ensure that QwickACCESS to Windows system requirements have been met.
- Plugin a supported proximity badge reader into the workstation.
- Local administrator credentials are required for running the QwickACCESS to Windows installation.
- QwickACCESS to Windows will communicate with the QwickACCESS Server using port 8339. Please ensure that port 8339 is not locked down on the system on which QwickACCESS to Windows will be installed.
Interactively Install QwickACCESS to Windows
- Locate the QwickACCESS-to-Windows-Setup.exe install file.
- Right-click the QwickACCESS-to-Windows-Setup icon and select Run as Administrator. If you receive a Windows User Account Control dialog box, select Yes to continue installing. The Installation Wizard for QwickACCESS to Windows will appear.
- Click Install Now to begin the installation process.
- An installation progress box will appear.
- At the Success screen, click Finish to exit the install Wizard and start the QwickACCESS to Windows Configuration Tool.
Interactively Uninstall QwickACCESS to Windows
- Open "Add or Remove Programs."
- Find the "QwickACCESS to Windows" item in the list. Select it.
- Click Uninstall to begin the uninstall process.
- An uninstall progress box will appear.
- At the Success screen, click Finish.
