Article summary

New Features & Enhancements

  • Support for multiple card readers (of the same make and model) may now be used on the workstation simultaneously.  Readers may be built into monitors, or be attached to docking stations while laptops have built-in card readers. The user may then choose which card reader to tap their card on.
  • For prox card readers that do not have built-in sound, it is now possible to configure the workstation to produce the beep sound when the card is recognized.
  • The ability to gather HCISysinfo exports from a system has been added so that administrators may do this remotely (even while a workstation is in use) through the HCIDeploy Console.
  • Several usability improvements have been made to HCIDeploy Publisher including ease of use through new context menus, and package filtering has been added to the staging panel for easily finding existing packages to update.
  • The toolbar desktop has been enhanced to allow the user to choose the location (top or bottom) on the screen that the toolbar should occupy.
  • Administrators may now manage a users favorites, including adding new applications and re-arranging the order of the favorites on the user's toolbar
  • The registry location for the auditCLIENT server connection information has changed from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HealthCast\AuditServerClient to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HealthCast\AuditServerClient\Connection\INDY to be consistent with similar settings for other server connections

Issues Resolved

Observed

  • Configure https://uptodate.com/login configured in in WebSSO
  • add username and password to control item with the help desk
  • Log into XA
  • Launch IE and navigate to https://uptodate.com/login
  • The user can type text into the username but the password textbox is disabled. Users are unable to enter a password.

Resolution:

WebSSO plug-in has been updated to not hide/delete the placeholder text in the entry field, thus allowing the field to be activated and populated by the user text entry.

Affects Versions:

HCXA-74 - 32-bit Install indicates an incorrect path for IE, as it specifies the path for a 64-bit operating system

Observed

When installing the 32-bit client the value the path noted for explorer shows C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

Resolution:

Updated the 32-bit install to use the correct path C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

Affects Versions:

4.11 and above

HCXA-71 - PublauncherSF has an incorrect Community Connect user access check

Observed

Currently, PubLauncherSF.exe when using the authentication type Community Connect does not check if the users have access to the Community Connect control item.

If the user does not have access to the control item and logs into Citrix with pubLauncherSF Community Connect and has the correct credentials they will be logged into the Citrix Server. The unauthorized users' credentials will be saved to the XA database for that control item and, the control item will not show up on XA Help Desk for that user unless the user is given access to the control item.

Resolution:

The access has been put in place, and the user will be notified that they do not have permission to log in, or must be logged in to eXactACCESS first.

Affects Versions:

4.11 and above

Resolution:

The 64-bit install has been updated to register the plug-in for 64-bit browsers in addition to registering for 32-bit browsers.

Work Around:

open an administrative cmd prompt

navigate to: c:\Program Files (x86)\HealthCast\eXactACCESS\hciwebplugin

execute the following command: c:Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Regasm.exe hciwebplugin.dll /codebase
